The Indian National Register of Data Protecion Professionals is an initiative of FDPPI (Foundation of Data Protection Professionals in India)

This is not  associated  with the Government.

Registration is open to all Data Protection Professionals including the Privacy Professionals, Information Security Pofessionals, Lawyers in Data Protection area.

A Separate category of Registered Professionals would be  recognized  at  the appropriate time of  those who may be accredited by the  Government of India probably when the Data Protection Board comes into being in India.

Though this is  an initiative of FDPPI, Registration is open to all professionals who might have been certified by IAPP or DSCI or IACA  or other  organizations.

The Registration is based mainly on "Self Declaration" though certifications issued for one  category of "Data  Auditors" will require a high standard of verified competence.

All Registrations are  renewable after 3 years based  on the demonstration of  continuing education.
